Women from St. Martin de Porres celebrated Women’s Day on Saturday August 9, the day commenced with Holy Mass celebrated by the parish priest Rev. Father Sello Maboea. More than 120 women filled St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church hall in Westenburg Polokwane to celebrate this memorable day. Women dressed in black and brightened their outfits with colourful headgears for their special day.
The second part of the event included inspirational talks by guests from various organisations, such as Liberty Life, Ramabala Attorneys, Natural living Spa, and NGOs in the community that deal with social issues. Guest speaker received hampers from Carrol Boyes Art and Connie Ferguson Cosmetics. Trica Selala entertained women with her gospel music and impressive dance moves.
Food, music, gifts and competitions with substantial prizes and great talks were the order of the day for this celebration; to remind women of their worth and importance in the church and in the society.
