Rev. Father Madidimalo John Legodi, ordained as a catholic priest on 16th June 2022 alongside Rev. Father Phuti Noah Kgwale at Materdei Pastoral Centre is jetting off to Italy to pursue his Dogmatic theology studies (Licenciate) Pontifical University Urbaniana in Rome for three years. He will be residing at San Pietro Collegio for the period of his stay in Italy. Bishop Masela, fellow priests, friends,  the religious and the  faithful of the diocese of Polokwane bid him farewell at the Chancery.

Father Legodi is the product of St. Peter and Paul Seshego parish which had already produced two other priests and a deacon, Father Legodi is the third priest to have been produced by this parish established in 1967.

Religious congregations and lay Christians have extended their best wishes, he is following in the steps of some of his colleagues in the ministry who studied abroad e.g. Father Sello Maboea, Father Joel Skhosana as well Father Elias Ledwaba who completed his Licentiate Degree in Canon Law from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Kenya, now advancing his Canon Law studies at Saint Paul University in Canada. Father Legodi served as a parochial vicar at Our Lady of Good Counsel since his ordination in 2022 until his departure to Rome.

We pray that the Lord will support him and bestow upon him the necessary graces!
