APOSTOLIC NUNCIATURE

The Apostolic Nunciature (Embassy of the Holy See) presents its compliments to the Department of International Relations and Cooperation, State Protocol, and to all Missions and International Organizations accredited to the Republic of South Africa, and has the honour to inform, with regrets the passing of The Holy Father Pope Francis, on 21 April 2025.

A book of condolence will be opened at the Apostolic Nunciature (4 Argo Place, Waterkloof Ridge) on 23–24 April 2025 at 10:00 to 14:30, while a Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 26 April 2025 at 10H00 at the St. Pius X (660 Pienaar St, Brooklyn) to which all Government officials and Diplomats are welcome.
